Cyclists and Walkers
We are conveniently located on a local cycle path linking directly to national cycle route 7.
Cycling and walking in Ayrshire are very popular weekend and holiday pursuits for visitors which can enhance your health and give access to our beautiful countryside. The National Cycle Network provides traffic-free paths, traffic calmed and minor roads ideal for cycling or walking. The National Cycle Route number 7 is the main artery from Carlisle to Glasgow and onward to Inverness. Its route through Ayrshire from the south enters from the dramatic Galloway Forest into the rural heartland of Ayrshire.
To the North you can follow Route 7 from Ayr through Prestwick to Troon where you will discover the home of the Bristish Open and wide sandy beaches.
We can offer secure garaging for your bicycle while you stay with us, and on request we'll provide you with our own anti-midge oil, in case you are out on the cycle path in the warm early evenings.
